Dr. Nivethika Shobisan graduated from the University of Peradeniya in 2017 and joined PetVet Clinic as a Companion Animal Trainee Veterinarian soon after. Prior to that, Dr Nivethika did her internship training also at PetVet as well as the Jaffna Veterinary Investigation Centre.

She has completed her industrial training at Ceylon Grain Elevators (Prima) Mattakkuliya. She is a member of the Society of Companion Animal Practitioners (SCAP) of Sri Lanka. Her special interests include small animal emergency medicine and critical care, veterinary dermatology and veterinary diagnostic imaging. She is an active, optimistic and hard-working individual, who believes that bringing together new ideas through teamwork can lead to advancement for all.

Dr. Nivethika grew up with many dogs (Don, Billa, Joisy, Rosy, Dilany, Roshan, and Prince), cattle and birds in her hometown.
