A firm believer in continuous learning, Dr Hemachandra has attended several veterinarian workshops in the Asian region in this pursuit. She is deeply interested in research concerning new treatment protocols in companion animal veterinary practice and has authored several publications for the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association. Her other interests are anaesthesia, dermatology and diagnostic radiology. Dr Hemachandra joined PetVet in 2006, soon after graduation. She completed her internship training at the National Zoo and Ceylon Grain Elevators (Prima), Mattakkuliya.
